When looking for alternative solutions for heating rooms, many people pay attention to a car rim stove. Proper arrangement of such a design allows you to heat about 15-16 square meters of area, so it can be called a good solution for a home bath or a good cooking appliance.
The main advantage of the product is the availability of the main material used for creation. We are talking about thick, resistant steel with increased strength. It is no secret that boiler steel of sheet and profile type is highly expensive, and ordinary structural steel in a furnace structure quickly deforms and burns out.
Making a stove from car rims with your own hands is quite simple. To do this, you should use two pieces of metal of the same size and weight: one simple steel, and the second from a wheel rim , and then heat these elements to the appropriate temperature. You can do this in the kitchen on gas. The first part will immediately begin to smell like hot iron, and the second part can be heated to an orange color (this happens at a temperature of about 900 degrees).
At the same time, there will be no unpleasant burning smell in the air. Stoves made from car wheels are popular due to the fact that they practically do not dry out the air and do not release dangerous toxins into the environment. This is explained by the fact that the rims are made of special steels that have a corrosion-resistant surface. The heat resistance of such products, of course, is not standardized, however, the permissible margin of resistance is quite enough for arranging a wood-coal stove.
Alternative in choice
With all the variety of methods for independent design, there is an alternative, which consists in the fact that some manufacturers are engaged in the manufacture of models designed for installing cauldrons.
Such ovens are equipped with a top plate with replaceable rings, which allow the installation of cauldrons of various sizes. They are made of thick sheet metal and are ready for use. Factory-made stove
A factory portable oven can be installed in any suitable location. The opportunity to cook food outdoors always means cheerful groups of friends. The emotional mood depends on the hospitality of the owner, and the technical part of the issue depends on his level of skill and the part of his soul that he put into creating and arranging a cozy corner.
Advantages and disadvantages
The disk furnace has the following advantages:
- Materials for manufacturing are available everywhere, and even buying old disks will not result in serious financial costs;
- Ease of manufacture of the device;
- The finished stove has a sufficient safety margin for use over a long period of time;
- The finished design does not take up too much free space;
- Automotive steel demonstrates resistance to high loads, mechanical damage and deformation;
- Can be used in conditions of high humidity;
- The product is suitable for use with various types of fuel: wood, pellet fuel, charcoal and coal.
Let us focus on the fact that almost any stove made from wheel rims will be portable, which is very convenient in a private home or cottage.
Despite all the advantages, stoves of this type also have their disadvantages:
When installing the device directly on the ground, sufficient draft is not created to maintain fuel combustion, as a result, the burner often goes out; The grill turns out to be too low, and without additional legs it is inconvenient to cook food on it; Steel discs heat up too quickly and can cause serious burns if handled carelessly; The steel cools too quickly, resulting in a large amount of fuel being required to maintain the desired temperature.
Due to their shortcomings, such stoves are practically not used as the main device for heating a house or cottage, but at the same time they are perfect for heating a bathhouse, technical rooms, and also for cooking.
Required materials and tools
Before you start making a mobile stove, you need to calculate its dimensions and determine the material consumption. A pivot table will help you cope with this task.

Which car's wheels are best to choose?
The most common option is considered to be a grill made from rims of KamAZ, ZIL, GAZ trucks with a diameter of 14 or 15 inches. Due to their depth, diameter and closed design of the central part, they are excellent for making a spacious kebab maker.
The wheels of a passenger car are smaller, so there is not enough space for skewers, and the internal volume for coals is small. That's why the first option is preferable.

Description of different stoves for cauldrons
In general, the stove is a cylinder about half a meter high with a hole at the top into which the cauldron extends at least 2/3 of its height.
The grate is located under the bottom of the dish at such a distance that the heat of the flame evenly covers its bottom and walls.
There are several options for making a stove for a cauldron at home:
- made of metal;
- from car rims;
- with a gas burner.
Made of metal
The design of the stove is a cylinder with a diameter of 30 cm and a height of up to 0.5 m. Instead of a bottom, a grate is inserted - a grate on which solid fuel (wood or coal) is burned. A hole is made in the lid to fit the upper diameter of the cauldron so that its edges rise 2-4 cm above the lid. The working chamber cylinder is mounted on three welded supports.
A metal stove moves freely to any place in a summer cottage, unlike stationary stone structures. The working chamber of the furnace quickly melts and heats up, allowing you to save fuel.
Reference. The disadvantage of the device is the lack of a direct chimney. Installing a pipe will make the structure heavier and more complicated, and the escape of smoke through the holes under the lid will interfere with cooking.
From car rims
Another version of the stove consists of two longitudinally welded disks, one of which has a damper cut out. The unit is small in size and weight, which allows it to be transported in the trunk of a car. The material for the furnace is the most economical, and the simplicity of the design will allow even an inexperienced craftsman to make the device in a few hours.
Important! The diameter of the upper part and the convexity inside the disk do not allow installing any cauldron into such a device, so before choosing this option, find out the dimensions of the existing dishes and disks. Small holes around the top and bottom of the oven create good draft without interfering with cooking

Gas
A stove with a gas burner is made of metal or brick, differing from other options in the type of fuel. The gas unit has a lower height than a wood-burning or iron device and is mounted on a tripod. The main advantages of such stoves include:
- ease of operation;
- possibility of precise adjustment of combustion temperature;
- small sizes.
Gas combustion in the stove is maintained using portable household cylinders weighing 5-10 kg, which are connected through a special hose at the food preparation site.
Attention! The use of gas furnaces requires increased attention and compliance with fire safety precautions. Combustion stability is largely determined by the quality of the connection between the incoming gas valve and the burner nozzle
Manufacturing a stove with a gas burner requires high-quality materials and a responsible approach from the craftsman

Materials that were useful to me
To make a sustainable stove, I used the following list of equipment and materials:
- car wheels with a diameter of 13 inches;
- metal plates and pipes (chose sufficient thickness so that they do not quickly collapse at high temperatures);
- Bulgarian;
- welding machine;
- electrodes.

Additional recommendations
To make the stand for a cauldron made from car rims more convenient and practical to use, you need to take care of the special features:
Additional stability can be added to the assembly using legs. They are made from profiled steel, which is cut to size. The blanks are welded to the sides of the furnace or the bottom and flanges. A tripod is the best option in terms of stability and economy. A good solution would be to make a separate stand for the stove from car rims for the cauldron. Its advantage is that it is not rigidly connected to the main structure and can serve as a support for anything. If there is a stand, the profiled bottom of the lower section will work as a grate. This will significantly increase draft and increase the temperature of the arch. You can simplify the project, reduce labor intensity, and save on materials if you make the oven from two segments. In this case, the roof of the structure will become lower, which will negatively affect heat transfer. This is due to the fact that during combustion pyrolysis gases are released, their contribution to the total heat release is decisive. If the arch is not high enough, they do not have time to burn completely. Contact with the cold walls of the casing causes soot deposition. Over time, the inner surface of the vault becomes coked. The heat output of the furnace is noticeably reduced. Soot fire cannot be ruled out. The versatility of the design allows you to convert the cauldron oven into a grill and barbecue with minimal changes. Without unnecessary cuts, you can get by with ready-made holes on the surface of the product - they will create several temperature zones. If you install a grate on top, it will combine the functions of a flame divider and a rasper - this will allow you to simultaneously cook roast beef of varying degrees of doneness
It is important to understand that a large company will need a more solid stove; Gazelle disks are suitable for its manufacture. They do not need to be welded together, which is a definite plus.
Heat-resistant metal adhesive can successfully handle the functions of a weld seam. Good potbelly stoves are obtained with horizontal wheel rims. It is better to cut off their convex parts with a grinder. The sections welded together form a capacious thick-walled cavity with a complex surface. Such a potbelly stove will heat up the room faster and take longer to cool down. To make such a stove, it is better to use wheel rims from trucks; they will provide a sufficient firebox volume and increase heat transfer. The efficiency of such devices is higher.
The area under the supports must exceed the parameters of the cauldron: the higher this ratio is, the more stable the entire structure will be.

Creation Rules
In any case, if you follow some important rules, creating a solid fuel stove from car disks will be possible and successful. You can use this design in small non-residential premises, such as a country house, workshop, etc.
It is important to carefully study these features:
It is important that the weld remains of high quality from a visual point of view. Avoid the appearance of visible defects in the form of cracks, splashes, shells, bubbles and other irregularities. Two mating workpieces are welded at one time
Cooking the entire structure is strictly prohibited. After successful completion of each seam, the welded parts are left for some time to resolve residual internal stresses. For every kilogram of mass it takes three minutes. After leaving the finished stove for a day to absorb the same stresses, it is additionally run through (if we are talking about a stationary stove, then this action takes about three hours. Portable outdoor ones need an hour run).
During this period, the furnace is also annealed. If minor welding defects, no more than two seams, appear during processing, they can be eliminated after a day, after which the run is repeated.
Industrial furnaces
A modern industrial cauldron oven, as a rule, is a well-thought-out and well-designed product. They have optimal sizes, are extremely functional and look elegant.
Examples include furnaces: Samarkand, Vesuvius and Samobranka
The stoves are made of steel and equipped with a retractable ash pan, which can be removed even during combustion. The grate of each of them is cast iron.
Industrial furnaces can be equipped with additional devices and equipment. The kit includes: a barbecue set, a cauldron, a device for hot smoking, a scoop and a chimney pipe, if provided for by the design.
Design Features
A qualitative design difference of this stove model is the use of ready-made sections from car wheels. The use of semi-finished products allows you to resort to simple technology, significantly reducing the labor intensity of the work. Having basic skills in electric arc welding and the ability to use an angle grinder, you can easily build a fireplace from discs with your own hands. In terms of its characteristics, such a product is not much different from expensive stoves purchased in a store. There is also a firebox, a hinged door and a recess in which you can freely install a camp pot, pan, grill grate or several skewers. The design is suitable for cooking pilaf in a cauldron, can replace a barbecue and grill, and quickly raises the temperature in a garage or bathhouse.
Another distinctive feature of such a stove is the ability to change the volume of the firebox. Depending on the size of the cauldron, the vault can be raised by equipping it with an additional section, which will allow, if necessary, to heat a larger room.

Tools
To make a stove for a cauldron from a pipe, you will need to prepare equipment and plumbing tools:
- welding machine;
- electrodes ANO-21 or MP-3;
- grinder with a cleaning and cutting wheel;
- electric drill with a set of metal drills;
- a set of locksmith tools;
- tape measure and marking pencil;
- a workbench with a vice or a small table vise;
Having prepared all the ingredients, you can start making a stove for a cauldron from metal with your own hands.
Making a stove
All work is divided into several stages:
Having cut the pipe blank to the required length, the edges are aligned with a grinder and a grinding stone. Then the burrs, especially the upper part of the structure, are cleaned with a file.
Important! If the cauldron does not sink to the required depth, you can cut out small segments at the top and bend the top of the pipe. At the same time, we ensure that the dishes are immersed to the required level.
A sheet of metal for the bottom is laid out on a flat surface, a pipe is installed on top and distributed in the center of the base
Now the pipe is tacked in 4 places every 900. The correct installation of the pipe on the base is checked. The joint is welded in one pass
A sheet of metal for the bottom is laid out on a flat surface, a pipe is installed on top and distributed in the center of the base. Now the pipe is tacked in 4 places every 900. The correct installation of the pipe on the base is checked. The joint is welded in one pass.
Then the slag is chipped off and the quality of the seam is checked. The seam does not need to be completely sealed here, but it is better to weld the areas with burns and holes. The workpiece must be cooled.
Having marked from the bottom in a circle at a distance of 100 mm from the bottom where the legs from the corner are attached, they are installed after 900, one shelf is cut for better joining with the pipe and the leg is grabbed at an angle to the pipe of 250-300.
The lower shelves of the corner are cut so that the leg touches the floor surface flat. At the bottom, for the stability of the furnace, small pieces of sheet steel are welded. These nickels are scalded only on the inside.
- The door hole for storing firewood is marked from the bottom. It can be made in different shapes. The simplest option is a rectangle made of a sheet of steel. But it is better to use a part cut from a pipe. Opening size – 150/200 mm. The door is hung on small hinges. A simple latch is made from a rod to secure it in the closed position and is welded to the door.
- From the strip you need to make handles for carrying the stove. To do this, mark 50 mm on each side of the workpiece, clamp it in a vice and bend it with a hammer. It is necessary to maintain an approximate bend angle of 900.
Then, having marked the mounting points on the sides of the pipe, they are grabbed. After making sure the handles are in the correct position, weld them to the base.
- Using a grinder and a file, all welding points and burrs on parts are cleaned. All protruding sections of the sheet along the bottom are first cut off, then the seam is processed with a grinder with a grinding stone.
- If desired, the stove can be painted with heat-resistant paint. To do this, you must first degrease all surfaces with a solvent.
- The stove for the cauldron made from a pipe is ready.
Making a chimney
On the back side you can embed a piece of pipe for the chimney. In this case, the smoke will escape through the pipe and will not sting the cook’s eyes. A hole is cut in the furnace along the diameter of the pipe using electric welding at a height of 150 mm from the top of the furnace.
Chimney
Then a bend is made from the pipe at 900. Having inserted it into the hole, 3 tacks are made, the correct position of the bend is welded and it is welded in 1 pass. Then a pipe 1.5-2 m long is put on it, at the top of which a protective canopy is installed. Now the gases are vented straight up.

You can increase your traction in a simple way. At the bottom of the stove, drill a series of holes with a diameter of 8-10 mm for ventilation of the stove. But it is better to make an additional groove with a box. It will serve as an ash box and ash pit. In this case, they make servicing the stove easier and prevent coals from falling out of the holes.
Ready-made stove design for a cauldron made from a pipe
Step-by-step algorithm
The first thing you need for construction is a pair of classic stamped car wheels made of durable metal. The sizes of the disks should be selected to suit your cauldron; option 13 may be suitable, or maybe 15, although a very large design is not needed.
Two stamped white discs
On one of the disks we mark a cutting line, exactly above the round holes, and cut off this circle using a welding machine.
Mark the cutting line
The cut circle will work perfectly as a lid on which you can put pots or a kettle, so don’t rush to throw it away.
The part is cut out
On the second disk, you need to weld the main central hole, which will require a small piece of thick metal.
Preparing the welding machine
We carry out welding work
Then the two disks are placed on top of each other and, using the same welding machine, they are connected into a single structure.
Circular welding process
Welding from all sides
This creates an impressive seam that firmly connects the two discs. To make it more presentable, you can modify it with a grinder, cutting off strongly protruding elements and grinding the edges.
Weld seam
In order for the structure to stand stably at the required level, you will need legs. The legs can be tightly welded to the grill if you are preparing a summer cottage, or you can make the structure detachable. In the second case, the device will be mobile; it can be easily carried in the trunk of a car and, if necessary, assembled. Small pieces of a profile larger in cross-section than the legs themselves can act as fastenings for the legs. These three parts should be welded to the grill on three sides (in this case, a tripod is made).
Leg parts
There is no need for precise calculations here; it is enough to roughly estimate equal distances and weld the necessary parts to the bottom of the grill made of disks at the same angle.
Leg clamps are welded
We also cut out the legs from metal, in particular we use a rectangular profile.
The legs themselves, cut from the profile
It is worth trying on the legs by inserting them into the prepared grooves. If they enter with difficulty, you should process the edges of the parts with a grinder, and then hammer them into the grooves with a hammer.
Legs installed
Next, mark the door that will open directly into the firebox and cut it along the line.
Marking the location of the door
At the next stage, you will have to use your imagination and engineering skills to create a decent hinge for the door. For example, you can make it from one bolt. It is necessary to cut off the cap from it, then select two nuts that are screwed onto it. One nut should be welded to the door, and the second to the wall of the grill. By screwing the bolt onto the threads of both nuts, you get a convenient loop. You can weld any piece of metal of suitable size as a handle.
The door is cut out
You can make two loops using the same bolts, here all the work is done at the discretion of the master.
Loop manufacturing option
To make it easier to transport the grill, you should weld lugs to it on both sides, or at least on one side. Such improvised handles will allow you to comfortably carry the barbecue without fear of getting dirty with soot, soot or dirt.
We weld the handles
For a more uniform smoke output, you can make four even cuts along the diameter of the disk. At this point, work with the hearth to form its shape is completed.
Making cuts from the top
To remove paint from car rims, you should burn the resulting grill on all sides. For final processing, you can use a brush or sandpaper.
Removing paint using improvised means
Then, using heat-resistant paint, you need to paint the structure in a suitable color. Black looks very harmonious.
Paint it black
As you can see, making a grill for a cauldron is quite simple; there are no special tricks here. A simple and convenient design will allow you to install a cauldron and cook pilaf, and if desired, you can make a shish kebab on it using skewers of suitable length.
Ready product
In this simple and uncomplicated way, we create excellent conditions for outdoor recreation, which is accompanied by cooking delicious and healthy food.
How to make a stove from disks for a sauna with your own hands
First of all, the discs need to be prepared: cleaned of debris, rust or paint residues using sandpaper. After this, you can begin manufacturing the structure, following the stages of work in the specified order.
Water container
To equip the upper chamber of the future stove, two rims are needed. The water will be heated in this tank, so it must be sealed. To do this, cut out the central plates for fasteners from 2 disks with a grinder, leaving only the rims. They are stacked on top of each other and welded together.
Disc core cutting
The upper part of the tank is closed with a metal lid or a movable flap. For safety reasons, you can combine these two options and tightly weld the larger segment of the lid, making only the small hole through which water will be poured into the tank sliding or hinged. A metal plate cut from a sheet is welded to the bottom of the chamber.
The structure of the upper part of the stove
After welding, holes are cut in the upper part and at the bottom of the container along the diameter of the chimney pipe. It will pass through the entire tank, should be tightly overlapped by the walls and come out through the bottom. A thin tube is installed in the side of the tank near the bottom at an angle to the floor and is closed with a tap to drain hot water.
Note! The tank must be checked for leaks. Fill it with water and carefully inspect the cracks for leaks, paying special attention to the joints between the walls of the container and the slots for the pipes. If defects are found, they must be eliminated by welding, but only after removing the water and drying the tank
If defects are found, they must be eliminated by welding, but only after removing the water and drying the tank.
Arrangement of the heater and the upper part of the firebox
From the two remaining rims you need to make a heater and a firebox cover. The core is cut out of one, the second remains intact. The blanks are placed one on top of the other and stitched together by welding so that the hub of the whole disk is in the middle (it will serve as a grid). The container remains open at the top - stones are poured here. The lower part of the cylinder will serve as the upper part of the firebox.
Natural round-shaped stones, which are used in saunas and baths - diabase, basalt, peridotite, are best suited for arranging a heater. But they are quite expensive. Therefore, you can look for heater material near the nearest body of water - these stones have been well hardened by humidity and sun. The best option is dark-colored rocks with a non-layered structure.
The best stones for a heater
Note! The stones in the stove, although slowly, are destroyed under the influence of high temperatures. And this makes it difficult for smoke to pass through. Therefore, periodically the contents of the heater should be sorted out and replaced.
Therefore, periodically the contents of the heater should be sorted out and replaced.
Foundation and brickwork
It is recommended to install a sauna stove made of rims on a strong and fire-resistant foundation. It can be built from reinforced concrete screed, and the top surface can be lined with fire-resistant bricks.
When the base is dry, you can begin to work on the bottom of the oven. For a stove with masonry 62*62 cm, you will need 60 pieces of red heat-resistant bricks. They are held together with clay diluted with water and laid in a square. Don't forget to provide a cavity for the blower and a hole for the door. Attach the grate to the top of the masonry.
Stove assembly
All parts of the structure are assembled sequentially. The metal part is connected to the brick part, the firebox and ash pan are closed with doors cut from a metal sheet.
Scheme of a stove-stove for a sauna made from wheel rims
On a note! For comfortable use, it is advisable to equip the door with a handle made of one large bolt. And to prevent firewood or coals from accidentally falling out, use a latch made of a narrow metal plate and a small loop.
Next, a second section of pipe is welded to the central hole of the hub, located between the firebox and the heater, and sewn to the upper part of the chimney running through the water tank. Stones are placed in the heater: large and medium ones at the bottom, small ones at the top.
To strengthen the structure, metal channels are welded to the rim of the heater and the water tank, which are installed at a slight angle to the top of the body. The pipe is led into a chimney lined with fire-resistant bricks and equipped with a damper.
Such a stove will heat the steam room and water in the tank in just an hour.
Design features of a furnace made from wheel rims
A do-it-yourself sauna stove made from old machine disks is the best option. Compared to metal store-bought stoves, they are cheap, simple in design and can last no less time than store-bought stoves.
Furnace design features:
- Small size.
- Easy to assemble.
- The material used is strong, durable and resistant to damage.
- The round shape of the wheels is the optimal shape for a sauna stove.
- For kindling in the summer, only a couple of logs are required (preference should be given to pre-prepared oak firewood).
- The stove cools down quickly: in winter cold the process of cooling the stove takes approximately 2 hours.
- During the fire, you can wash in the bathhouse, since there is no accumulation of carbon monoxide in this design.
- Possibility to use different materials for heating the bath.
Thanks to the different sizes of wheels, you can choose the size of the future furnace. If you need a sauna stove of decent volume, then the ideal option is a sauna stove made from the disks of any model of truck.
Stages of work
After the preparatory part, you can safely begin manufacturing the structure.
First stage
We take three disks and cut out the middle using a grinder. The process can take a long time because the discs have an uneven shape, making it difficult to reach the middle.
Cutting out the core of the disc is quite difficult, but it is necessary
Second phase
The next step will be welding. We weld a square metal sheet to the lower wheel rim. It must extend beyond the walls of the disk so that burning coal or a spark from the furnace falls onto it. This is a guarantee of fire safety.
We weld the disks together in a circle. You need to be careful not to leave unwelded holes through which smoke from the potbelly stove will escape. We also weld all the holes for the valve for the camera.
We weld the seams
Third stage
Next, we cut out the doors for the firebox and ash pan. We recommend cutting a hole for the ash pan in the lowest disk, and for the firebox in the second one from the bottom. The metal pieces that remain can be used as doors. There is no hole for the ash pan, so that the draft goes well, you can open the doors of the ash pan or firebox.
Installation of a chimney pipe. We weld the pipe into the center of the uppermost disk or onto a sheet of iron that can be welded to the upper disk. In the second case, your potbelly stove will be more fireproof and reliable.
Fourth stage
Coating the oven with special paint
The last step is to install the stove on the base. Its height can be equal to the height of one brick, since the entire stove does not weigh very much. First you need to make a square formwork from bricks and fill it with cement mortar. After the solution has dried, you can safely install the potbelly stove.
To ensure that the stove lasts longer and the metal does not corrode, we recommend covering the potbelly stove with a special paint that can withstand constant high temperatures. It is especially important to paint the upper part of the structure: it is there that moisture constantly evaporates, so the metal becomes more vulnerable to losing its properties.
As a result, from the maintained materials you will get an excellent, reliable potbelly stove that will heat the room no worse than a new one.
Rules of use and service
You can’t cook food right away on a newly made stove. Paint, oil or brake fluid remain on car rims. Therefore, the stove is first calcined to clean the device from residues. Otherwise, when burned, they will emit an unpleasant odor that will permeate the food. To do this, the firebox is completely filled with firewood, placing it through the top. Using a special liquid, they light a fire and allow the fuel to burn to the end.
After the stove has completely cooled, the ash is poured out. The walls of the structure are cleaned with a metal brush and sandpaper to remove paint residues. After such cleaning, you can cook pilaf, shish kebab or other delicious dishes on the stove.
For cooking, fuel is added through the door. After adding some wood chips and tree bark, light the flame with matches. The oxygen coming from the lower holes feeds the flame, and the smoke goes up the chimney. Thanks to a successful design, there will be good traction and suitable conditions for cooking.
Important!
When preparing food, do not add large portions of firewood.
It is important to maintain the heat evenly. A strong flame will only ruin the dish and the food will burn.
After completing the process, wait for the stove to cool down and begin cleaning it. Fine ash and fuel residues will fall out on their own through the holes in the lower disk. To free the device from large fuel residues, turn it over and shake them out through the door.

A sheet of metal for the bottom is laid out on a flat surface, a pipe is installed on top and distributed in the center of the base

Shape and size
When planning to make a metal stove for a cauldron with your own hands, you usually choose a simple form:
- Cylinder;
- Square or rectangular prism;
- Rarely, a hexagonal prism with many faces.
So, prism or cylinder?
The prism is easy to bend or assemble from edged pieces, but such a stove will definitely need a top sheet with an even circle under the cauldron.
It is difficult to roll a cylinder without rollers. By simply bending the sheet, you can roll the cylinder, but the surface will be a little uneven, with creases. But the fact that the top sheet with a circle is not necessary for a cylindrical furnace is an undeniable plus
It is important to make the oven the same diameter as the cauldron
And you also need to decide whether it is necessary to make a chimney or not. The chimney is like a pipe. Usually, a separate chimney is made to reduce smoke around the cauldron. With a tall pipe and good traction it works.
