The manufacturer of the 16K30F3 lathe is the Ryazan Machine Tool Plant RSZ , founded in 1949.
The Ryazan Machine Tool Plant produced its first machine on February 21, 1949 - it was a 164 series screw-cutting lathe. Within a short time, the plant put into production three more series of lathes - 166, 165 in 1953, 163 in 1956.
As the design of the machines improved, the plant produced more and more modern models - 1M63, 1M63B, 1M63BF101, 1M63N, 16K30, 1A64, 16K40, 1M65, 1N65.
Based on universal lathes, the Ryazan Machine Tool Plant mastered the production of CNC lathes - 16K30F3, 16M30F3, 16K40RF3, 16R50F3, etc.
The plant has also mastered the production of modern turning machining centers with a number of coordinates from 4 to 8, CNC lathes of inclined 1P756DF3 and horizontal layouts, pipe processing machines 1A983, 1N983 - for processing the ends of pipes with a diameter of up to 460 mm, wheel lathes, roll lathes, machines for processing deep holes and etc.

16K30 Screw-cutting lathe. Purpose, scope
16K30 screw-cutting lathe is designed to perform a variety of turning and screw-cutting operations, including turning cones and cutting threads (metric, inch, modular and pitch) in single production conditions.
16K30 machine processes ferrous and non-ferrous metals at high cutting speeds with cutters made of high-speed steel and hard alloys.
Changing the spindle speed and two feeds can be done without stopping the rotation during cutting.
History of the 163 series screw-cutting lathe
In 1934
, the Moscow Machine Tool Plant mastered the production of heavy universal screw-cutting lathes DIP-300, DIP-400, DIP-500. A screw-cutting lathe from the German company VDF was chosen as a prototype.
IN 1944
In 2009, the production of these machines was transferred to
the Ryazan Machine Tool Plant RSZ .
In 1956
year, the first model of the 163 series was put into production - 163 - RMC 1400, 2800.
IN 1968
The next generation of the series was launched into production - model 1m63, 1m63B.
WITH 1973
year, the beginning of serial production of lathes: 16K30, 16K30F3, 1M63Bf101, 16M30F3, 1P756DF3.
Machines of the 163 series were also produced in Tbilisi - 1D63A, 1M63D, 1M63DF101.
IN 1992
the beginning of serial production of the latest model 163 series 1M63N.

The CNC screw-cutting lathe 16K30F353 (16K30F3) is designed for turning parts such as rotating bodies with stepped, simple, curved (including ellipsoidal) profiles. Capable of cutting almost any thread, drilling, boring and performing many other operations. It is used in conditions of single, small-scale and serial production in the shops of machine-building, instrument-making, general construction and other enterprises. This machine model 16K30F353 is completely modernized: equipped with a new NC-201M numerical control system, DC feed drives, variable-frequency main drive, electrical automation, and circular interpolation sensors. A complete replacement of routes and electrical elements was carried out.
The main design features of the machine: — the design rigidity of the main components of the machine ensures high processing accuracy; — the movement of the tailstock quill is mechanized — driven by a pedal; — a powerful four-position tool holder allows installation of up to eight tool blocks; — structural strengthening of the guides guarantees long-term operation without changing the characteristics of the machine; — main drive — variable frequency drive (VFD). — a wide range of regulation of spindle speeds and feeds, high-speed feed drives with feedback provide a variety of cutting modes; — an electromechanical conveyor is used to remove chips; — the introduction of the NC-201M CNC with a USB connector has significantly simplified the processes of editing and saving programs. The following are supplied with the machine as standard: - conveyor for chip collection; — self-centering three-jaw chuck with a diameter of 400 mm with one set of jaws; — tool block – 4 pieces; — reinforced rotating center 1 piece.
