For any screw: with a metric thread or a screw, or a self-tapping screw, such a characteristic as the tightening torque is defined. It is usually measured in Newtons per meter and can practically be thought of as a 10 cm long wrench with a tightening force of about 1 kg.

Typically, the force of screwdrivers is limited to 2-2.5 N*m. This is enough to reliably tighten most screws that are found in everyday practice in various fields: industry, construction, equipment repair, household. The torque limiter (ratchet) protects the screws being driven from breakage.

Screwdrivers also solve the opposite problem: removing screws and self-tapping screws, thanks to reverse. Finally, battery power with quick-swappable batteries increases convenience and greatly improves productivity. When operating on batteries, there is no need for personnel to carry cables and move around constantly paying attention to their location and length.

Failure of the screwdriver start button

As a result of long-term use of the tool, as well as the conditions in which it has to be used, there are often cases when the start button of a screwdriver fails - this is also one of the reasons why a screwdriver does not work. The problem is solved by purchasing a new start button mechanism in the store and replacing it with an old, faulty one.

How to extend the life of an instrument?

First of all, buy tools in stores from reliable manufacturers.
If the buyer sets himself the task of using a screwdriver as efficiently as possible, then first of all, he should carefully read, remember, and then follow the operating instructions, especially if he is new to using screwdrivers. • c) failure of the gearbox shaft support bearing;
• d) the maximum output of the pins on which the satellites of the planetary gear are attached.

All of the above parts are of factory origin and cannot be repaired. The problem of screwdriver chuck runout in this case is solved by replacing the gearbox parts with new ones.

How to disassemble the tool?

First of all, you should remove the battery from the compartment so that it does not accidentally fall out and break. Release the chuck from the clamped bit or drill. Then you need to “halve” the body. To do this, take a suitable screwdriver. Most likely the slots in the housing mounting screws will be Phillips. Sometimes the holes for the screws are closed with decorative plugs; they need to be removed.

After unscrewing the screws, the upper (from the screws side) part of the case is neatly separated.

Checking the functionality of the electric motor

The last thing in line to check is the electric motor as the most complex element of the electrical part. If no damage is found to the contact and starting mechanisms, and there is no doubt about the reliability of soldering and the integrity of the supply wires, then the electric motor is checked.

Disassembling the engine begins with removing the armature from the stator. A visual inspection of the contact part of the commutator and winding is carried out. Mechanical damage or electrical short circuit and breakdown of wire insulation are noticeable by a change in color and the presence of soot. Anchor repairs are not carried out independently. It is either trusted to professionals or replaced with a new one. If no visual damage is detected, then an ohmmeter is used to check the operability of all windings separately.
